OUR STORY

I was born and raised in Ghana, and growing up, my family served a popular West African dish called jollof rice only on special occasions because it involved complex, time-consuming preparation.
When I immigrated to the United States, my friends and neighbors loved jollof rice, so I spent hours every week making it for them.
To shorten the prep time, my family created Gourmet Afrik, a company that creates authentic foods including a jollof rice that provides the same terrific taste in under 5 minutes. This easy recipe means everyone can have jollof rice in their home.
Food is a powerful tool that connects us to people all over the world. At Gourmet Afrik, our vision is to connect the world through traditions, culture, and delicious, shared meals.
